GETTYSBURG, PA, FEBRUARY 28, 2005÷Gettysburg Village Factory Stores announced 2004 was its best year in its history. This past year, Gettysburg Village Factory Stores opened 10 new stores and announced plans for a dramatic 200,000-square-foot expansion, including a nine-screen movie theater and a T.G.I. Fridayâs restaurant. ãIn 2004, Gettysburg Village Factory Stores had its best year thus far, boasting record-breaking sales and traffic numbers,ä said Nancy Brown, General Manager at Gettysburg Village Factory Stores. ãWe expanded our retail mix, increased our sales 6 percent over last year and serviced an estimated 1.8 million guests at our center this past year÷the same as Gettysburg National Military Park. Highlights from 2004 include:

á Gettysburg Village announced plans for its Phase II expansion, which will add dozens of new stores, as well as Gettysburg Village Theaters, a state-of-the-art, nine-screen movie theater, and a T.G.I. Fridayâs restaurant to the center. This multi-faceted expansion is expected to commence in the second quarter of 2005, and the movie theater is anticipated to open in the fall. JK Roller Associates has been named architect on this project.

á Gettysburg Village Factory Stores opened a total of 10 new stores in 2004, including the No. 1 customer-requested store, Liz Claiborne. Other prestigious new tenants include Pepperidge Farm, Koret, Welcome Home, American Eagle Outfitters, Bible Factory, Quiznoâs, Textile Studios and Limited Too.

á Several of Gettysburg Villageâs chain stores won awards from national retailers for their exceptional performance in 2004, including Eddie Bauer outlet, which was named the ãBest of Bauerä for the second year in a row, Haggar Clothing Co. outlet store, which was named ãHaggar Store of the Year,ä and Bon Worth store, which not only won ãThe Bonnieä award, but was placed in the top 25 performing stores for the womenâs clothing chain.
