Distinguished Wharton Professor Expands Role at AMC Delancey

PHILADELPHIA, PA, MARCH 28, 2005 ö AMC Delancey Group, Inc., a Philadelphia, Pennsylvania-based national real estate investment company, announced that Senior Advisor, Dr. Joseph Gyourko, has been elected to the companyâs Board of Directors. In this role, Dr. Gyourko will be responsible for helping to strategically counsel AMC Delancey as it continues to expand in targeted markets across the country.

In the capacity of Senior Advisor for AMC Delancey, Gyourko has consulted the company on a myriad of strategic real estate issues including investment strategy and economic trends as they relate to investment opportunities, overall market trends and future growth strategy.

The distinguished professor is a highly acclaimed academic researcher and editor in the field of real estate, and has been on the Wharton faculty for 20 years. Gyourko currently serves as the director of the prestigious Samuel Zell and Robert Lurie Real Estate Center at The Wharton School, where he is the Martin Bucksbaum Professor of Real Estate and Finance. He previously served as Chair of Whartonâs Real Estate Department and as Coordinator of the Departmentâs Ph.D. program. Additionally, Dr. Gyourko is a Nonresident Senior Fellow, The Brookings Institution, Center on Urban and Metropolitan Affairs, Washington, D.C., and a Trustee of the Urban Land Institute.

Gyourko is a Phi Beta Kappa graduate of Duke University and a holds a doctorate in Economics from the University of Chicago.
