Following the re-opening and re-branding of the hotel after a multi-million dollar renovation, the Sheraton Orlando North sales team, led by director of sales and marketing Anita Blackwelder, was recognized for excelling in adherence to brand standards, participation in brand offerings, quality of finished product, high customer satisfaction, meeting or exceeding sales team pre-booking goals, and revenue on the books for the upcoming year. “This is an outstanding achievement for the hotel, and more importantly, all the staff that has made the Sheraton Orlando North so successful since its reopening,” said Kenneth P. Balin, president and CEO of AMC Delancey Group. “From the sales team to the management team to every associate, this award is all about teamwork and commitment to excellence. General manager Peter Valenzuela has built a customer-focused, results-oriented team in every discipline.” Originally built in 1984, the Sheraton Orlando North is situated on 9.47 acres off Interstate 4 and Maitland Boulevard, within the 6.4 million-square-foot Maitland Center. Following years of neglect, the property was acquired and completely renovated by AMC Delancey and Paramount Hotel Group. The Sheraton Orlando North is now a 390-room conference hotel located in the heart of the bustling Maitland, Florida business corridor, just five miles north of downtown Orlando. The hotel’s tropical atmosphere immediately sets guests at ease, giving them a sense of comfort and belonging as they gaze at the dramatic waterfall in the newly renovated atrium. The luxurious guest rooms and suites feature dark mahogany and walnut furnishings and Sheraton’s amenities including high-speed Internet access, flat screen television, spacious work areas and the Sheraton Sweet Sleeper Bed®, a nine-layered custom-designed ensemble featuring an exquisitely comfortable, plush mattress, fluffy down hypoallergenic pillows, crisp cotton sheets, cozy blanket and signature blanket and duvet. The 296,000-square-foot property also features 15,000 square feet of flexible meeting space, a 24-hour business center, state-of-the-art gym, restaurants, bar, concierge lounge, game room and outdoor swimming pool with dramatic water features including fountains and a Jacuzzi. The hotel (www.sheratonmaitland.com) is close to downtown Orlando, golf courses, shopping, restaurants and entertainment, the Orlando International Airport and major Orlando theme parks. “Being recognized by Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide is an outstanding achievement considering the company has over 850 hotels worldwide, including many that would have qualified for this award,” said Peter Marino, senior vice president of Paramount Hotel Group. “The Sheraton Orlando North is once again one of the area’s foremost, first-class lodging and conference venues. We are proud of our dedicated associates who continue to deliver superior customer service.” About Paramount Hotel Group About AMC Delancey Group # # #
