As executive director, Allen will oversee all community operations, including marketing, dietary, housekeeping, maintenance and activities. She will also ensure that Traditions of Hershey reaches its goals of occupied units, expense control and budget profit margins. Prior to joining Traditions of Hershey, Allen spent the last six years as the director of administrative services for the Providence Service Corporation in Fredericksburg, Va. Before that, she held several positions of increasing responsibility with Family Trauma Services, Inc. in Alexandria, Va.; Marriott Senior Living-Brighton Gardens Assisted Living in Arlington, Va.; Clinical Associates for Rehabilitation and Evaluation, Inc. in New York; and several other organizations in New York. “Lisa’s broad experience in senior housing and outpatient environments will play a major factor in her successful management of Traditions of Hershey,” said David Lovitz, principal of Traditions Development Corporation. “Having her on board prior to opening is also wonderful, as it gives her an opportunity to build relationships with our neighbors prior to residents moving into their apartments. As a native of central Pennsylvania, Lisa will play an important role in introducing Traditions of Hershey to the community.” Kenneth P. Balin, president and CEO of AMC Delancey Group, added, “AMC Delancey is thrilled that Lisa has been hired as the executive director of Traditions of Hershey. As we move forward with our independent senior living strategy, having experienced professionals on staff will further promote the appeal of Traditions of Hershey.” Currently under construction and scheduled to open in 2008, Traditions of Hershey will offer residents an abundance of services and activities, including a fitness center; in-house movie theater; pre-scheduled transportation for doctor visits and other local excursions; lunch and dinner; and a variety of other amenities. The Traditions of Hershey information center, located at N. Thistledown Drive and Gold Finch Drive (off Route 322-Horseshoe Pike), is open Monday to Friday from 10:00 am to 6:00 pm and on weekends and evenings by appointment. Information center visitors will be able to speak with Lisa Allen, director of marketing Karen Norman and marketing associate Timothy George about the studio, one- and two-bedroom apartments that will be available from $1,800 to $2,700 per month, inclusive of meals, activities and services. Additionally, visitors will be able to review renderings of the community and finishes being used in construction, as well as floor plans of the available apartments.
