Mr. Balin is Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of AMC Delancey Group, Inc. He has been actively involved in the real estate industry for more than 40 years. Since founding AMC Delancey Group in 1992, Mr. Balin has directed the development and implementation of the firm’s operational and investment strategies. Under Mr. Balin’s leadership, AMC Delancey crafted an investment vehicle that emphasizes the principle of alignment of interest in real estate transactions between financial investors and operating partners, fueling the dynamic growth of the company. Prior to founding AMC Delancey, Mr. Balin was a leader within several real estate investment organizations, which began with the Bass Family of Fort Worth. In 1987, he co-founded Amerimar Realty Company, as the successor to a portion of the Bass real estate portfolio, and built that organization as its President and Chief Operating Officer. Prior to founding Amerimar, Mr. Balin was a real estate partner and senior executive with affiliates of Bass Brothers Enterprises and the Robert M. Bass Group of Fort Worth, Texas. Mr. Balin began his career as a Certified Public Accountant in the tax department of Arthur Andersen & Company. Mr. Balin serves as a Governor of the Urban Land Institute Foundation, is a former Chair of the Philadelphia District Council of the Urban Land Institute; he is a member of Lambda Alpha and the World President’s Organization. He was a founding member of the Zell-Lurie Real Estate Center of the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania and has been a member of both the International Council of Shopping Centers and NAIOP. Mr. Balin has served on the boards of many philanthropic and community organizations, including the Preservation Alliance of Greater Philadelphia. He is a licensed real estate broker and a frequent guest lecturer and speaker in the real estate investment industry. Mr. Balin holds a Bachelor of Arts from Northwestern University and a Masters in Business Administration from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.
Mr. Sell is President and Chief Operating Officer of AMC Delancey Group, Inc. A seasoned real estate executive, Mr. Sell has been with AMC Delancey for over 10 years, joining the Company in 2005. Mr. Sell has overall responsibility for leading the executive team and direct responsibility for underwriting, financing, and real estate acquisitions. Additionally, Mr. Sell directs the asset and property management, accounting, finance and administrative functions of the Company.
Prior to joining AMC Delancey in 2005, Mr. Sell spent approximately 5 years with Ernst & Young LLP in the Transaction Advisory Services and Assurance and Advisory Business Services Groups. While in his previous role, Mr. Sell provided financial due diligence services to financial and/or strategic acquirers in a variety of industries.
Mr. Sell is a licensed real estate broker in Pennsylvania and New Jersey, a member of the Urban Land Institute, and a Certified Commercial Investment Member (CCIM). Mr. Sell is also a Managing Member of Heggy’s Alliance & Salem, LLC, a third generation family owned restaurant and confectionary business in Northeastern Ohio. Mr. Sell earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance from Boston College and a Master of Accounting degree from the University of Virginia.
Mrs. Shepherd is the Maintenance Coordinator and Senior Property Manager of AMC Delancey Group, Inc. As Maintenance Coordinator, Mrs. Shepherd collaborates with the Maintenance Manager to oversee all of the day to day operations for the Maintenance department of AMC Delancey Group.
Mrs. Shepherd joined AMC Delancey Group, Inc. in 2015. Prior to joining AMC Delancey Group, Inc. Mrs. Shepherd was a Project Assistant for Brothers Building Inc. In this position she was responsible for assisting with the successful planning, execution and closure of construction projects.
Mrs. Shepherd has a Bachelor’s Degree in Communications from Temple University, is a licensed real estate salesperson in Pennsylvania and is a Certified Associates in Project Management by the Project Management Institute.
Mr. Spicer serves as the Chief Financial Officer of AMC Delancey Group, Inc. Mr. Spicer’s primary responsibilities include overseeing the finance, accounting, financial reporting, human resources, information technology and treasury functions of AMC Delancey Group and related entities.
Mr. Spicer joined AMC Delancey Group, Inc in 2013 as the Assistant Controller of the company. Prior to joining the company, Mr. Spicer worked as an accountant for KTR Capital Partners (2012-2013) and Wind River Holdings (2006-2012). He graduated Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting & Finance from La Salle University in 2006; he later graduated Magna Cum Laude with a Masters of Business Administration degree from La Salle University in 2011, is a licensed real estate salesperson and notary public in Pennsylvania.
Ms. Sheridan is a Senior Leasing Consultant of AMC Delancey Group, Inc. Ms. Sheridan is responsible for leasing apartments, lease administration, prospective tenant satisfaction and marketing.
Ms. Sheridan joined AMC Delancey Group, Inc. in 2013. Prior to joining AMC Delancey Group, Inc. Ms. Sheridan worked for Korman, Philadelphia Management and Campus Apartments. Ms. Sheridan has over 14 years of experience in leasing apartments in the city of Philadelphia.
Ms. Sheridan is a licensed real estate salesperson in Pennsylvania has obtained the National Apartment Leasing Professional designation. Ms. Sheridan attended Harcum Jr. College and studied Advertising and Marketing. Mrs. Sheridan also studied Acting with the Deena Levy Theater Group and Improv with the Upright Citizens Brigade both in New York City.
Mr. Laning joined AMC Delancey Group, Inc. as a Special Project Manager in 2009 focusing on all facets of building construction, maintenance, and capital improvement projects. Mr. Laning is currently the Chief Building Maintenance Engineer at The Cast Iron Building, manages third party contractors, tenant improvements, maintenance and capital projects. Mr. Laning has more than 30 years of expertise in electrical, plumbing, HVAC, mechanical, roofing, carpentry, painting, and other building trade areas.
Mr. Benitez is a Senior Work Order Technician of AMC Delancey Group, Inc.’s Center City portfolio. In this role, Mr. Benitez is responsible for work orders, unit make ready assignments, preventative maintenance, and ensuring that safety measures are taken by technicians. Mr. Benitez works closely with the Property Management to provide timely and important resident feedback. Mr. Benitez joined AMC Delancey Group, Inc. in 2014. Previously, Mr. Benitez worked as a Maintenance Technician for Fairfield Properties.
Ms. Oliver is a Leasing Consultant for AMC Delancey Group, Inc. She is responsible for leasing apartments, lease administration, prospective tenant satisfaction and marketing.
Before joining AMC Delancey Group Inc in February 2020, Ms. Oliver worked as a leasing agent at The Philly Apartment Company and Keller Williams Philly. She has been leasing apartments in Philadelphia since 2014.
Ms. Oliver graduated from Fox School of Business at Temple University in 2013 where she studied Entrepreneurship and Corporate Social Responsibility. She is a licensed real estate salesperson in PA and has obtained the National Apartment Leasing Professional designation.
Ms. Norton is the Property Administrator for AMC Delancey Group, Inc. In this role Ms. Norton interacts with tenants and coordinates vendors on day to day activities at AMC Delancey’s properties. Ms. Norton’s skills include analytical, communication, leadership, and research which have been developed during a history of working in the real estate industry. Ms. Norton joined AMC Delancey Group, Inc early spring 2021. Ms. Norton graduated from Millersville University in 2015 with a Degree in Sociology. She is a PA Notary Public and is currently working toward her PA Real Estate License.
Mr. Bodner is a Property Accountant of AMC Delancey Group, Inc. Mr. Bodner is responsible for daily accounting operations, accounts payable, budget-to-actual reporting and month end closing procedures. Mr. Bodner joined AMC Delancey Group, Inc. in 2023. Prior to joining AMC Delancey Group, Inc., Mr. Bodner graduated from the University of Pittsburgh with a major in Finance and a minor in Economics. During his time at the University of Pittsburgh, Mr. Bodner was head manager for the Men’s Basketball Team.
Mr. McMickens is a Property Management Assistant for AMC Delancey Group, Inc. In this role he assists in the processing of accounts receivable and accounts payable as well as other property management tasks. Mr. McMickens is currently a pre-junior student at Drexel University and is majoring in Real Estate Management and Development.
